An Aesthetic Analysis of the Twilight Wedding Decor

For inspiration and guidance we often look up to our favourite movies and television. When planning your wedding, you find out what you like and don’t like from what you were drawn to watching. One of the most popular film weddings hands down has to be Bella and Edward’s from the Twilight Series. Here are our suggestions for how you can recreate your own Twilight wedding.

Linens

The linens used at the Cullen’s wedding was a dark moss green tablecloth. In our inventory the ones that are the most similar would be the Moss Crinkle or the Meadow Faux Silk. Some other good options would be the Moss Satin or the Emerald Pintuck. In addition to that, the napkins seen in pictures are also dark green but a lighter shade than the tablecloth. I would suggest the Sage Satin. On top of the tablecloth there seems to be some foliage attached to the linen, to re-create this try using an overlay, either green lace or green leaf textured.

Dinnerware:

To recreate a similar table setting to the vampires the closest option would be the White and Gold Peyton Chargers. These plates look very similar to the classic and elegant chargers used in this scene. For a more interesting spin try using the White Geranium Chargers, this will tie-in the white floral elements this wedding is known for. To pair with the chargers try to incorporate the Blonde Stella Cutlery Set and the Emma Gold Rimmed Glassware Set.

Extras:

The most obvious extra you should try to incorporate into the decor of this wedding is the white florals. This wedding is known for the ceremony having the dropping white floral arch. Using that in other aspects of the wedding will tie-in together everything. Another thing that can elevate this wedding is using tall white candles to set the mood lighting for this event.

The Guaranteed Best Way to Not Use Tablecloths at an Event

Even though tablecloths always add so much to an event, sometimes you want to try something different and change things up. If you are ever in the scenario where you feel like dressing your table in something other than tablecloths then follow this guide to not using a tablecloth.

The first thing I would suggest in this entire process is to make sure the table you are using for this event is in good condition. I would not recommend using a tablecloth with a table that was ugly and scuffed up. This would work even better if you do have a nice table that you can show off.

The number one best way to use some sort of linens without using table cloths is by using table runners. These come in so many different styles and fabrics that there are a million possibilities. Also, the fact that they are not just in one solid shape allows for more creativity and movement in the way that they are used.

Another cool idea instead of a traditional tablecloth is using craft paper to line your table. This allows for more customization and personalization in the actual design of the table. You can write or draw anything on the craft paper like name cards, fun on-theme drawings or even the menu.

Just like the runners an additional linen you could use would be an overlay. Similar to the tablecloth in that it can cover the whole table an overlay gives the ability to be sheer in some or most areas allowing the table to be seen. This option would work best if sparkles or glitter is already incorporated into the decor of your event since most overlays have some kind of shimmery quality to them.

If you instead want to use a completely blank table this is a fun chance to go all out with the dinnerware and flatware. In this scenario you can splurge on fun chargers, extra glassware and fancy flatware. The important thing to remember here is quality over quantity, when simplicity is sometimes the best thing.

When it’s time to tighten your financial belts when it comes to your wedding budget that does not mean you have to sacrifice having a beautiful and memorable event. You can still make the most out of a little! ✨Quality Over Quantity Your guests will appreciate decor and elements that are high quality because it means you put a special amount of care and precision into making your decisions. Also, having higher quality decor will make you feel more proud and accomplished of the event you put on. ✨Napkin Folds Small details such as napkin folds make the event that extra level of sophistication and cohesiveness. Instead of just laying the napkin over your dinner plate try incorporating an interesting fold or maybe even a napkin ring to spice it up! ✨Interactivity with Guests Anytime there is any sort of activity for guests to do at events it immediately breathes life and fun into the party. This gives them something memorable that will set your event apart from the rest! This does not have to be anything over the top, something simple like a photobooth or a build your own sundae bar would be perfect. ✨Reuse, reuse, reuse If you have decor or other things from previous events that you think will work for this one, use it! Not only is reusing decor cost-friendly but it is also better for the environment. Buying and throwing away less decor is a small way you can make a change to be more sustainable. ✨Personalization The best part about an event or a wedding that you are throwing yourself is that it is all for you. This is your one opportunity to put your name on everything and not be ashamed! Or if you want to add personal touches and flairs to your decor to make it quintessentially you, it goes a long way! ✨Renting is Better! Instead of buying expensive decor that you know you are never going to use again, rent it out! Not only will this save you some money, but it will save you a headache. This way you do not have to worry about what to do with them after your event is over. Even though planning an event as big as a wedding can be overwhelming, it is important to remember not to get lost in the big picture and the focus on the small impactful details. When all is said and done the one person’s approval you have to get is from yourself, so do and plan whatever you like! • • #torontoevents #weddinginspo #eventplanner #decoratewithme #trending #fyp #foryoupage #diy #diywedding

The Hidden Messages People See in Your Events Colour Palette

When planning an event the little details are what set this event apart from the rest! One of those key details being the colour palette. Even though it seems like an easy decision, “just pick whichever colour you like best”, there is actually a lot more meaning behind colours than we realise.

The Meaning

There is symbolism and meaning behind every colour choice. The symbolism usually shows a subconscious emotion tied to seeing that colour or what the colour is typically used to represent. When planning an event this is an extra touch that can be done to influence your guests experience and impressions.

Birthday Parties

For birthday events, especially for kids, the best colours to use are those that are bright and exciting. Examples of those would be yellow and orange. These colours stimulate excitement, energy and optimism. These are exactly the feelings you want your guests to feel for this kind of celebration.

Proposals

Another popular example is for proposals. Not only is red a colour of love because of the famous romantic red roses but also because of its meaning. Red is known for being the colour representing passion, intimacy and intensity. Whenever one is getting proposed to, red always seems like the most popular colour. An alternate option would be pink, representing unconditional love, caring and nurturing.

Corporate Events

Going in the opposite direction, there is even a specific colour most popular with corporate events. Blue is the number one colour chosen for any type of corporate gala, dinner or conference. Not only is it because blue is widely loved and always trendy but also because of its meaning. The not so hidden meaning behind the colour blue is peace, loyalty and trust. This is the exact type of energy any planner would want to project onto the guests at an event like this.
