Tablecloths

The first thing you need to do when planning your Pinterest dinner party is finding the proper linens. Luckily this is where we come in! From what most inspiration photos are showing the most popular type of tablecloth is a raw and natural basic white linen. An important factor to making this party a success is allowing your tablecloth to be the blank canvas for the rest of your decor to capture your guests intrigue and attention. This gives the event more of a relaxed and vintage feel. From our selection of tablecloths we would suggest either our white or ivory faux linen. Another interesting thing some event planners have done to spice up their tablecloths is to use old recycled paper as the tablecloth so you can draw on it and leave unique designs.

Handmade Elements

Another very important element that goes along with the tablecloths is the handmade elements to the event. Many have taken to hand drawing their own invitations and menu cards adding a little bit of personal flair. Hosts have also begun to customise their glassware to match the theme and aesthetic of their party. For example, if they were hosting a party with a Mediterranean theme then the host could paint little lemons or the design of the infamous blue tiles on their wine glasses. One more personalized element that has been more popular in the event scene is ribbon bows. Hosts have been adding them in many places such as the stem of wine glasses or on top of menu cards.

Lighting

An additional factor to making your Pinterest dinner party extra memorable is the lighting. If your party does not take place in the day and you do not have the pleasure of natural day lighting you should consider alternatives to your lighting. Instead of using regular overhead lights use either candles or string lights to make your party feel more intimate. This can also be an opportunity to let you explore more creative options with your lighting. For example, instead of just regular string lights find some that work better with your theme, such as disco ball lights or coloured LED lights.

Trend Forecast Summer 2024

Get ready for these summer weddings by preparing yourself for the upcoming trends this season! This summer the main theme for designs is thinking outside of the box and trying things that aren’t exactly conventional.

One of the main trending colours for weddings this summer will surprise you! The complete opposite of which weddings are usually known for, black is trending this summer. Couples are leaning towards an edgier look that white does not bring. Another shocking colour being added to the mix this season is chartreuse. While this colour is not typically used for many things, as of now it is being used as an accent colour for many weddings.

Another main trend that is currently sweeping the wedding design space is the citrus-y orange colour palettes. These colours are perfect for a summer wedding because the brightness and vibrance in them perfectly reflect the summer months. To no-one’s surprise the main colour that is taken off this wedding season is blue. Blue has different shades and has always been around but recently royals and navy blues have been a big hit for designers.

As far as tablescaping goes there are many fun things becoming popular that have not been seen before. For example, a major trend recently was to incorporate fruits like lemons and pomegranates in the centrepiece of a table. This summer specifically this trend has taken a bit of a turn and fresh produce like tomatoes have been opted in for a unique and rustic look.

Some other fun things that have entered the event planning world is the emergence of the disco ball. While it has always been around for a retro or vintage theme party, the shiny sphere has now found a respectable place in the wedding world, as a symbol for partying and having a good time. Along with this, metallic cutlery has been up-incoming to match the reflective nature of the disco balls.

Patterns and the overall theme of maximalism has been growing outside of the event space for a while but now it has started to make its way in. Couples figure the bigger the better supplies to all cases, especially when planning their wedding. Whether its extreme indulgence or layered patterns and materials this trend has been shaking up the industry in such a fun way!

Exciting Inspiration for Your Summer Events

This summer don’t settle for less with mediocre parties when you deserve more. Who says you can only use plastic tablecloths and dinnerware for barbeques and picnics? Look no further for summer event inspiration for all different types of summer events.

Picnic

Now that the good weather is here it’s time to sit in the grass and enjoy the fresh air! You can’t have a picnic without the traditional and iconic red gingham overlay. To compliment the bright reds try using dark navy blues and gold for an accent colour. This will take the table setting from generic get-together to sophisticated outing. Add some more home-y and rustic elements like burlap and linens to make this picnic the perfect comfortable afternoon in the park!

Barbeque

When most people imagine a summertime barbeque they immediately think of plastic cutlery and standard white napkins. This summer spice up your traditional backyard barbeque with an unique and one-of-a-kind denim linen. This perfectly matches up with the usual vibes that a barbecue brings: casual, sturdy and perfect to cover up any bbq sauce stains! Compliment the dark blue with a bright terracotta cheesecloth napkin. Perfect for a summertime outdoor event!

Beach Party

What a better way to celebrate the warm weather summer brings than by having a beach party! Using the lovely scenic backdrop as the inspiration for this table setting, try using blues and light yellow linens to play off the natural elements. We recommend the dusty blue faux linen tablecloth to really tie the entire table together. Pair this tablecloth with light and breezy napkins like the white cheesecloth and your table will fit right in with the scenery.

Cottage Party

When having a weekend getaway to the cottage it can be a bonding time for you, family and friends. Turn that simple classic bonfire into something more with ivory faux linen tablecloths and a sage green linen runner. Bring in the natural elements by adding hints of sage and light green to round out the table. Additionally, bring in the nature elements even more by using wooden chargers under your plates. All that is missing is some s’more to snack on!
